Rose Diamond Jubilee
We, the ASI Family, invite you to join us in the online Holy Mass on October 1, 2021, Feast of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, at 12:10 P.M., Philippine time, @themanilacathedral, for the special intentions of the Asian Social Institute (ASI), Inc., in connection with its 59th Foundation anniversary with Rev. Fr. Reginald Malicdem, Rector of the Manila Cathedral Parish as the main celebrant and Rev. Fr. Kali Pietre Llamado, Vice-Rector as co-celebrant and possibly, Rev. Fr. Dominic Li Linke, an ASI Scholar & Graduate from the Republic of China.
The Eucharistic Celebration signals ASI’s preparation for the one-year celebration from October 2022 to October 2023 of ASI’s Rose Diamond Jubilee or RDJ (60-year anniversary of its foundation) as a Manila-based graduate and post-graduate school of social science in Asia for transformative praxis towards Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation.
Rose Diamond Jubilee Theme:
Creating Paths of Renewed Encounters: 60 years and Beyond of Shared Journey: One in Heart and Soul towards Integrity of Creation, Justice and Peace (ICJP)
ASI’s RDJ closely comes after 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines. Thus, October 2022 to October 2023 is a year of thanksgiving, of paying tribute to all our friends and partners whose moral and material support has made ASI operate as a movement of ideas based on practical experiences, movement of participatory research, action and advocacy towards ICJP. For the same reason, it is a year for us to renew the fire in us to pursue our socio-pastoral ideals towards total salvation of all creation, as well as renewed leadership in the organization..
To resolve the social ills of our society, primary of which is the PANDEMIC, ASI will try to amplify the good and the best practices being done in all domains by selected individuals through education, research and publications.
We end this circular with the prayer of our Founder: “We humbly beseech you O God, to become incarnate in us, to give us more love for the poor, more love of country, and more peace in our ranks.”
