Admissions Requirements for Non-Degree Programs

International Diploma Course in Community Development - IDCCD

For Both Local and Foreign Applicants

The applicant must submit the following:

  1. Completed ASI-CD application form
  2. Curriculum Vitae
  3. Description of past, present or future involvement in community work
  4. Two (2) letters of recommendation from two different sources
  5. Medical Certificate indicating fitness to undertake the course

Qualifications:

  1. Twenty-one (21) to fifty (50) years old
  2. At least second year college or its equivalent
  3. With experience in community work
  4. Committed to stay for the duration of the entire seminar
  5. Proficient in the English language

For Foreign Applicants:

For Graduate and Specialized Courses

  1. Same as those for Filipino applicants in the graduate and specialized BSSW course.
  2. Documents to be submitted for the issuance of a student visa (9f):

    Notice of Acceptance (NOA) from the school containing a clear impression of the school's official seal, addressed to:
    • Student
    • The Director
      Visa Division
      Office of Consular Affairs
      Department of Foreign Affairs

  3. Six (6) original copies of the 1998 Revised Personal History Statement (PHS), duly accomplished and signed by the applicant in English and in national alphabet, accompanied by personal seal, if any, original left and right handprints on PHS and original photos.
  4. Transcript of records/Scholastic records, duly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy or Consulate in the applicant's country of origin or legal residence.  "SEEN and NOTED" stamp is acceptable;
  5. A notarized Affidavit of Support and proof of adequate financial support to cover expenses for student's accommodation and subsistence, school dues and other incidental expenses;  For scholars, certificate of scholarship from the institution concerned.
  6. Photocopy of Passport pages where the name, photo, birth date and birthplace appear.
  7. In addition to the documents submitted to the DFA, the student shall submit the following requirements to the Consular Officer of the Philippine Foreign Service Post upon notice of interview:
    • ORIGINAL copy of the school's Notice of Acceptance (NOA) containing a clear impression of the school's dry seal, addressed to the student;
    • Police Clearance issued by the national police authorities in the student's country of origin or legal residence, authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post having consular jurisdiction over the place; and
    • Medical Health Certificate issued by an authorized physician including standard-sized chest x-ray.

Upon arrival in the Philippines, a foreign student with a student visa (9f) marked on his/her passport is advised to secure his/her Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) and Certificate of Residence for Temporary Students (CRTS) at the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID), Intramuros, Manila.

Socio-Pastoral Renewal Course for Priests

The applicant must submit the following:

  1. Fully accomplished application form for the Socio-Pastoral Renewal Course for Priests
  2. Curriculum Vitae
  3. Letter of recommendation from the bishop
  4. Medical Certificate indicating fitness to undertake the course

Qualifications

  1. Twenty-one (21) to fifty (50) years old
  2. With experiences in pastoral (parish) work
  3. Committed to stay for the entire duration of the seminar
  4. Proficient in the English language
